Grow up; Money doesn't fall from trees and people have to weigh their options when they put in as much effort into their work as Dean did. Yes he used open source code, but he for the longest time never "sold out". Eventually his product surpassed it's roots like all great things. Innovation doesn't just spring out of nothingness, it builds upon predecessors. Should profit not be made from selling computers since it all started with punch cards?

You could say Dean didn't bring anything special to the scene but I'd say that you're wrong, and point out that you were all kissing his ass not even long ago. If you really think poorly of his product then why even give him attention? Go ahead and use something else and ignore him. Oh wait, that would take even the slightest bit of maturity to do so.

I understand that you all believe that he's wronged you in some manner. And some of you do have valid points. But don't you see all this childishness hate mongering and circle jerking only does more harm to your cause and breeds negativity in the scene? Other than passion, what will drive developers to release their work if they see their consumers as nothing but ungrateful and aggressive? If you really feel like you're in the right, then be the bigger man and let it go. Remember all the good Dean did for you while he was "still on your side".

I expect an aggressive response from GregoryRasputin and I welcome it. And with such a witty moderator as himself, I'm not surprised Dean left at all.

I don't like to talk a lot in forums, I just love to read and see what's new. So this is my last comment I hope.
The way you use multiMAN is different than the way I use it because the way I use it shows that nothing can replace that program for me. I can use Arabic Subtitles in showtime to watch movies with my family thanks to multiMAN and this is something big for me.
So showtime in multiMAN is something useful because it added a language that the ps3 doesn't support. Showtime in multiMAN indeed is useful for some. Tons of features that aren't useful for you are useful for me and everyone has his own things that are needed and multiMAN has the things I need, the things you need and the things other people need. Lots of the features that we don't find useful others do find them useful and this is why its #1 Manager. (multiMAN offers almost everything)

You didn't understand what I meant, I know that Showtime is a different program created by Andreas Öman and I have for him a huge respect for making the best video program in ps3 and the least I could do is thank him and donate. Andreas Öman thank you for Showtime.
Meanwhile what I said is (Showtime in multiMAN).
When we use Showtime.self from multiMAN it uses a font that we can edit and thereby we can make it support Arabic by using some kind of trick that I'm not here to explain (you can Google it) and it's exclusive to when using Showtime from multiMAN. That what made Showtime when launched from (multiMAN) useful for some because it added the Arabic subtitle functionality and that isn't available if Showtime is launched from the xmb.

Last thing is you shouldn't accuse someone by stealing if he was allowed to do so.

I see no ethical or moral dilemma here; just two programs that allow for the mass pirating of games* which both disregard how they are created, what is used in the creation process and what their intended purpose is as the end result is the same.

* = Excluding the 0.0001% of users who use their own games and don't live in locations where copying games is illegal :)

showtime in XMB will do the same, its called use google and find the ARABIC subtitle file for said movie or show you are planning on watching LOL. I watch japanese movies all the time with english subs that are not embedded into the video. Its called a SRT file for subtitles, the way the internet is nowadays there is a SRT file in every language for every video practically ^_^

I get what your saying though, that MM lets you bypass that step of tracking down the Subtitle file.
