Brothers Ps3 YLOD Question
well my brother got a ylod on his Cecha01 ps3 ....im just gonna do a oven re flow....but during the ps3 tear down....the heat plate for the rsx chip came off.....and it shows the 5 mini chips on it.....can i do the re flow without the rsx heat plate or do i have to have the heat plate on????
Edit: also if i should do the oven reflow with the rsx heat plate off, should i take the cell chip heat plate also???

You should remove the IHS ( Heatspreader ) before re-flowing.
Removing IHS from the CELL BE is very hard. PS3 CPU IHS Removal by PRiMETECH NZ - YouTube You may need thermal adhesive to stick back the heat spreader on to the RSX.
