hi im trying to go to fsm after flashing with e3 but i dont have any power in my usb ports worked fin before any thougths

is besides the usb not having power everything else working?

yes it works but im stuck onthe connect controler screen and i cant see any thing wrong with the bord

you don't have a external powered usb hub? , you could try if the communication part is still working..

btw, what is your ps3 model.

cechl04 4.31 is the model and the firmware i tried to down grade with e3 it worked fine untill i should go in to fsm then i discowerd no power to the usb port and i i don have an external hub is it bricked so i should try do go back to my orignal dump

we know it happens (sometimes) on a hardware downgrade( e3 flasher only?) the no USB power....but where is it coming from...the reason this happens? something in the flash dump not good or something else?

it can be a relief.

for a moment i thought about the fat models where if you put the wrong screw back in, the usb lines would be damaged, but this dousnt apply to your model i think.

this is a stupid question but are both usb ports dead or just the one? lol. you could try testing the wires to the usb inside the ps3 and see if they are getting power? test where they connect to the source? basically test down the line untill you discover where the hardware fault it (if there is one) and if nothing is wrong then we all know its something with the downgrade and its somehow software related. my concern is i didnt know that it was possible for software to kill power to the usb. i thought it would have to be hardware related

unless maybe its some kind of driver missing that runs at power on before the xmb? maybe since recovery and fsm require usb but nothing from the xmb itself. like a computers dos and bios kinda. needs certain things to be there or it wont work correctly
