i wanna use a external or usb flash for watching avi files and playing final fantasy. but since ive got a modchip im just trying to remove the need for burning dvds from the mix.

USB 1.0 is kind of slow for playing backup games, either burn the game to disc or install an internal HDD and play from that.

i can do the internal. but im looking for a setup method not using the 007 game. the ps2 has a mod chip. and a real one not a knockoff. i tried some dvd from a website but it didnt work. is there a dvd i can burn to get mcboot on the memory card and or the elf loader and sms player?

If you got a mod chip installed, then why cant you skip the part where you gotta use the swap disc trick, and just run the copied disc that has the exploit installed on it?

and isnt usb 1.0 fine for avi btw? so i could use usb flash drive for movies and internal for games?
