hi i have tryed to downgrade my cechl04 ofw4.31with e3flasher (dual boot) an e3 cardreader i have my origanal dump. after the first try my usb port lost power so now i cant use them to go to fsm and every time i start my ps3 i come to the screen conect usb controller and i get stuck cant do anything the funny thing is when i put e3downgrade 12.03.bin on my e3 cardreader e3upgraderL: it dissepers after insert to the ps3 so maybe ther is a chans i realy hope some one can help me mr dutch has tryed but my english is not so extremly good but i hope the readers understand what i mean. i will test all sugestions and im greatfull fore all help i can get. if more info needed just ask

explain better for me. your usb ports on your system have no power? that sounds like a hardware issue before you start on the software and downgrading.... unless im wrong but i cant see any type of firmware or flashing cutting power to your usb. its not apps or xmb stuff that powers the usb ports. as soon as the system is turned on the usb comes on automatically. and im not an expert but you NEED the usb to downgrade. so we all need to pool ideas and figure out whats wrong with the usb. did you check the wires inside the ps3? is everything connected correctly?

can you get rogero autopatcher (works on win 7 & 8 only)

and patch your valid dump.
then put that patched dump on your ps3.
once done press the red reset button on the front of the E3 and flash again.

then see if the usb's work. try to get into fsm or connect a controller via usb and see if it charges (DONT PRESS THE PS BUTTON)

I have a feeling I have heard that the E3 patch file can create this problem.
and i'm sure I have seen maybe haz mention this aswell somewhere in a similar thread.

if the nor has a corrupt / damaged dump in just the right place then it can stop the syscon activating the usb ports among other things.
