i seen that link and the progskeet you gotta solder all those bloody wires? how u close the box with that thing in there? i thought htis was going to be easier

with this dongle or i dont need the progskeet i cant remember from few posts back what other guy said the dongle and 3k3

is this all to just get the firmware down to 3.55?? and then u install the 4.31 version

You don't have to solder with e3 flasher. Unless you brick it. Then you will have to solder 1 wire. Or if you want to fast dual boot, you would have to solder 2 wires.

Or you could pay someone to do it. And save yourself a big headache.

ok so is the eflasher then different from the progskeet? cuz i seen the progskeet and looks like 50 wires u gotta solder to the board from the pictures at least

i guess things are easier if i had lower firmware

HOW TO DOWNGRADE W/E3 FLASHER TO ANY OFW/CFW
i read that somewhat but they somewhat make it confusing

so u can run a backup of ur current firmware and then upload it but there is no validation it makes it

is there a video also watching this all be done?

and no one in my area does ths so i on my own

too bad u guys couldnt do what they do for cell phones to update firmware
the computer simulates the cell phones website and it will intiate the firmware update to the phone

so like for ps3 u simulate that there is a new update and the ps3 would download your custom firmware without being connected to internet

but thank you gonna read up later today

it would be nice tho. set up an ad hoc and trick the ps3 into thinking that its say 4.35 or 4.40 when really its the 4.31 cfw. or 3.55 cfw. you know how for example on psp for the 1k and 2k model when ya used to use gen b and c back in the day. maybe even gen d. your psp says firmware 9.90 even tho its 5.50. make the ps3 think its upgrading somehow :P not doable but good thought
