I mean seriously, I can't be the only one getting this kind of idea when I try to interpret their words without twisting the meaning.

Sony's said that they're not going to consider the Vita a failure unless it's still selling poorly 5-6 years down the line. It's like you guys have forgotten how poorly the PS3 sold when it first came out and how it didn't start really selling systems until about 2-3 years after its release. And this was after price drops, which Sony still hasn't done for the Vita. I mean, the PS3 just overtook the xbox360 this year for sales. They're beginning to release some new first party games and will more aggressively market the system in the near future. They've also admitted that they didn't have enough time to market the system during the past year because they were focused on other things (such as the new console). At least wait until Destination Playstation and Captivate 2013 or the next E3. But in other Vita news, at the Taipei Game Show 2013 in a couple of days, they're going to be having 30min presentations for some promising upcoming titles, Tearaway, Killzone: Mercenary and Soul Sacrifice. These games should show the capability of the system when not being rushed to put out crap games like Activision's and Ubisoft's recent attempts. |

They wouldn't have gone to that point if they didn't feel the pressure terribly tight, the fact that they made a promotion like this means alot. Sony knows that they are pretty like playing their last cards to attempt having a possibility to recover from failure and I have to admit that I doubt this technic even if it worked that it would mean alot about PSVita's destiny since what they do is buying time but on the other hand, they also give a promise that PSVita will become stronger which in the current state, there is pretty like no possibility to happen which would mean unhappy costumers that would pass on the next release of a Sony console. They are playing with a boomerang right now by giving empty promises once again.
