Happens in here and happens even on PC gaming.
For example:

Some user buy the latest VGA, pretty expensive, good. Nice packaging expecting to play all the latests games on native resolution and then *****es that he/she bought a piece of **** (that indeed is a piece of ****) that don't work as he/she expected, *****es about lag, random crashes, high temps, etc.

Why this happens?:

Because that user bought something that most of pc gaming *cool* guys have and want to *part* of that *circle*.
Maybe the main problem was not the VGA in his case, maybe was his CPU, RAM or PSU.

But instead of make some proper research and wait for at least more than 16 reviews of that specific product, he had the money and wasted it on something that he/she don't need it in first place.

This way they *feed* that specific corporation buying more *corrupted* products because demand is so damn high that they could care less about end user and they won't stop manufacture some faulty VGA because at least 21% that bought it had problems.
(Look at NVIDIA).

People will continue to buy **** to *look* cool to others or that primitive way of thinking that paying more for something will give you even better results.
This rarely happens today.

ive honestly never had a ylod console? maybe im lucky? got one that freezes now and then. used to have one that was overheating. all easy to fix tho. and the slims are cheap as hell... not that the fats arent but atleast ya feel like you are holding something in your hand. and all you ppl complaining about cfw? to hell with cobra. they are useless. always were. cfw does 1000x more and give you so many more options.... but then again im in it for the homebrew and emulators. not the backup games. still like black ops 2 and dc universe and mw3 that i actually wanna play online i buy. id only use a backup if i wanted to play by myself or wanted to see if the game was any good. not saying id buy it.. but i wanted to play it online i would. i started using backups because i got mad sony wouldnt let me copy my discs to the internal to save my laser.

Every product has expiration date.
This ones are not built to last nor built with the best products on the market, it's something that anyone that has some income can get.

PS3 Phats = YLOD, big and nice built.
PS3 Slim 2k series and below = Cracking sounds, cheap plastic.
PS3 Slim 3k series = No more cracking sounds but cheaper plastic.
PS3 Super Slim = No comments.

they said ps2 wasnt made to last either but ive still got my fat ps2 with a modchip and its still working great lol. as for my ps3s. my backwards comp model needed new laser. cechg needed new laser. cechl ive had since 08 i believe and had no issues yet.

People with some patience and intelligence realize you can get backups running on your PS3 for no cost whatsoever. Well, the cost of a hard drive and USB stick, but you don't have to buy ODDEs or DRM Tru Blue nonsense when the software is already out in the wild.

The only people who have to pay are those with OFW higher than 3.55, and you might as well pay for a flasher so you can downgrade the PS3 and completely open it.
Instead of buying some ODDE which will die as soon as they stop supporting it and can only do one thing, you can completely open your PS3 for so much more.

The only possible advantage in an ODDE is transparency when connecting to the PSN, you may be able to avoid a ban if you don't tamper with your game files, but that's a big maybe depending on how the ODDE will work.

The other advantage....newer games? Seems like we can play all newer games now since the bootldr keys got leaked. Hell, we can even activate PSN content.

But go ahead and pay for whatever you want.

It will be interesting to see how this product works. If I am correct it has to extract keys, just wondering if someone can use the method used by the Cobra ODE team and use their exploit for the new custom firmware. It may lead to something better.
