If you enable QA flag on 4.31 and then downgrade to 3.55, the button combo will still activate the QA menu but you will not be able to downgrade in recovery untill you run rebug's QA toggle 2 times.

btw. just for fun i tried to do this update from ofw 4.31. didnt work :P actually the ps3 hung on a black screen and i had to turn it on and off a cpl times and got a corrupted file system. so you have been warned :P as for me i could care less if i brick it playing around. i can fix it. and its got no blu ray laser anyways

weird...once qa is set using toggle_qa it is enabled..always..maybe some incorrect settings
rebug 4.21.2(no spoof-normal-cex qa mode) - cfw431 xmb internal update - check qa flag with combo - downgrade to 355 rebug3.55.4_999downgrader xmb update - qa flag still enabled - not showing? do button combo to get it - update from xmb internal hdd again to 3.55.4 - update to rex 4.21.2 xmb - update again to 4.31 from xmb, never needed to re-set QA_Toggle

For service mode did you unplug ps3 then press power and eject? That is how I got into service mode, and after I pressed eject it took like 2 minutes for my ps3 to turn off, the same amount of time was required when I exited service mode.

I had to reset QA toggle because I wanted to downgrade in recovery mode (rogero 3.55 to ofw 3.30) to reset the syscon hashes. The button combo still worked, recovery mode downgrading did not.

@butnut ..thx for that...and my bad on dehash part..yup struggle to get into FSM, bowsed the spanish eldorado a bit
need to trigger with "power+eject" after setting the flag? going by that forum it doesn't need a flag set....i tryed to excute the "enableqa" alone as together with the "enterfactory" each time it boots straight into normal XMB

we have:

enterfactory
exitfactory

i assumed by putting each one in the "flag" folder executes the FSM trigger..enter or exit..not the case.. keeps hanging so to speak at Installing lv1 peek / poke driver

trying to power+eject without pulling the cable, first booted into Petitboot(after setting "enableqa[/b] booted into Gameos from shell, rest the PS3 gameos bootflag using toolbox(btw the LV1 options are not working for this = all disabled) but a working petitboot/otheros works fine when loading from "Rebug Toolbox - Boot OtherOS"


the flags are not really clear thats all..and a couple missing

@butnut Help how did u exit out of FSM (using 1 of the 2 method's)?

the "pull powercable" worked as u said(like with dongles), not used the "enterfactory" flag
power+eject....took arorund 2min..ps3 off-reboot = FSM
tryed to exit with:

pull powercable-power back=boot ps3 = FSM
exitfactory flag added and booted = FSM
pull powercable-power back-power+eject = FSM

exited out using the exit Lv2Diag.self - 202kb
