Man I wish these PS2 classics didnt require ReactPSN I cannot get react to work on any of them on Rogero 4.30 v2.05 (with no PSN activation ever on this console) as @haz367 knows

Its easy enough to use, it just wont work on my Rogero 4.30 v2.05 (I think due to never having PSN on my CFW machine...)

That may be a reason I guess. Any reason why you won't get online though? I never play games online but I like going on PSN Store and syncing trophies. That shouldn't be a problem from my experience.

Would you direct me to a noob's reactpsn guide @DEFAULTDNB ? Last time I checked it looked like such a hassle with many steps and rap files here and there and whatnot.

I thought logging into PSN while on CFW = flagged for ban.

reActPSN tutorial for 4.30CFW Rogero v2.03+ (should also work for 4.21.1 Rebug)

Step 1 - Download

reActPSN v2.23 -

Link:
http://filebin.ca/RSd5Hj7QTFr/reActPSNv2.23.pkg

Mirrors:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1J...EkzQ3djbXloNXM

http://www.multiupload.nl/JWSRQJZAXA

MD5: B385F7B0763FBD4DD778796C7CCA8DE0

Step 2 - Prepare USB

Format USB to FAT32
Transfer reActPSN v2.23.pkg, yourgame.pkg, and exdata folder to the root of your USB stick.
If you don't have a exdata folder, just create one and put your .rap files into it.
The .rap files are the files used to activate the content your wanting to activate.
MD5 checks on the reActPSN v2.23.pkg are recommended.

step 3 - Install reActPSN

Plug USB into your PS3. Make it the USB port closest to the Blu-ray Drive, that is the far right.
Install reActPSN v2.23.pkg using install pkg files (do not start program, only install pkg).

Step 4 - Profile creation

Create a new user profile called aa and log into it.

Step 5 - Activation

Start the reACTPSN app. Do not press anything.
Your screen will turn black, the amount of time on a black screen can vary depending on how much stuff needs activating, your PS3 will then reboot.
Once rebooted, you will get a message saying the PS3 was not shut down properly and something about data restore or some crap.
Press O - back, don't worry, everything is fine.

Step 6 - Install game

You will notice that the aa account is now called reAct something something.
Now login to your main account and install the game you wanted to install and your done.

Final comments:

You will have noticed that the 'aa' profile is now called something else, the next time you want to activate something, rename that profile back to aa. Then put the exdata folder containing your .raps that need activating on your USB stick, and follow step 5 onwards.

I would recommend keeping a backup of your exdata folder that is on your USB, which contains the .rap files. You never know, you might need them in the future.
I would also recommend changing the reActPSN username back to aa and then keeping a backup of the Act.DAT
You can find the Act.DAT in your internal HDD.
The location is dev_hdd0/home/0000000*/exdata

You may delete the exdata folder, but a backup is recommended.
Also if you want, you may delete reActPSN app from XMB but don't delete the profile.
If you decide to delete reActPSN app from XMB, then in the future you can get it back by installing reActPSN.pkg and you won't need to create a new profile because you didn't delete reActPSN/aa profile in the first place.
Merely deleting reActPSN app from XMB will not deactivate content, all content will stay active, although if you delete the reActPSN/aa profile, then the content should deactivate.
Props to GSTAR01 for the guide.
