Go to recovery menu and try to rebuild database and try the other options.
When it doesnt work format hdd at last and do the options 1-6 again, that work for me at last and the ps3 ask for a firmware update(not ofw ofcourse).
Good luck.

It did not work, so i did a hardware downgrade with my e3 flasher. then installed the norsod.pup thing. and it booted up in xmb and the i installed the "rsodfix.gnpdrm.pkg" and now i have to wait and see if it keep going hehe. dont think so but im staing on 3.55 for now! so i dont have to downgrade again..

Is there a site with a good read about this RSOD problem. like to know more about this!

RSOD is mostly a software problem or a hardtware load problem(hardware component error).
Ask the nasty shemale @Mr.Dutch for more info...

Don't stay on NoOtheros CFW. You need to install OFW 3.55, then install the CFW of your choice.

If the Red screen comes back after that, it is a hardware problem. Most likely a bad nor chip.

Here is some info on RSOD. http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/RSOD_Fix

I been given this PS3 that has RSOD , was on 3.55 cfw , friend tried to update to Rogero and it bricked . He tried to unbrick it but it ended up having RSOD .
What i tried so far :

- put the console in FSM - FAIL - the dongle stays on led lights , console doesn't turn off like it's supposed to , after a few minutes the RSOD appears on screen
- install Rogero 4.30 - FAIL - the console asks for a fw of minimum 4.30 , i try to install Rogero , i get an error 8002F225
- install Rogero 4.25 to 3.55 - FAIL - same error 8002F225
- put the console in FSM with a new HDD - FAIL - same red lights on dongle , image appears after a couple of minutes
- install OFW 4.30 with a new HDD - FAIL - it completes the installation but when booting RSOD appears

Should i attempt a downgrade procedure on it ? What options do i have left ?
