Now who's being comical in their arguments. You can't tell me for a second that you would rather there be no cops than what we have now. If you honestly believe that move to Somalia and tell me that no police is better.

No Police officer, Marine, Army, Air Force, Security guard, mall cop, or rent-a-cop sign up to get hurt. They know that their job is dangerous, but that does NOT make it okay for them to be put in harms way unnecessarily.

There's nothing comical about that. I can honestly tell you that. Geez, I wonder how we as people made it all these years with no cops? That's because we're a capitalistic police state. The law is a business and they're here to pacify the poor and serve the wealthy.

Lol...how often is it that the police don't have the upper hand? They have bullet proof vests, pistols, tasers, mace, batons, shotguns, and high speed vehicles that are designed to work as a battering ram. The difference is that you are arguing that the police shouldn't be put in harms way and I'm saying that nobody should be put in harms way. Like I said, police are just people. I don't put them on a pedestal. Nor do I think they deserve any special consideration or merit.

He was backing away with his palms up because he was surrendering. I'm guessing that's the best time to taser somebody. Nothing like showing a scared, frightened 22 year old not to f'k with the police.

You said he was facing them...if he was backing up he was moving away from them. I highly doubt they were telling him to back away from them. Yeah because I trust Billy Bob, Jim, Cooter to protect me or even to not shoot an innocent person because they want too...

He was facing them. He looked like a scared mouse being backed into a corner. They looked like rabid dogs going in for the kill. You said you've watched cops. You've never seen police to tell somebody to back up? I must have seen that 100's of times. I've heard it all, freeze, back up, stay where you are, move forward, get on your knees, put your hands behind your back, on your head, straight out to your sides...they really have no preference it seems.

I agree. I wouldn't want anybody with those names protecting me either. Sounds like you live somewhere like in the movie deliverance. You just might be better off with police. I guess you're welcome to have all your warm fuzzy feelings knowing the police are out there 'protecting you'.

I never said anything of the sort. Where did you not see me say that every police officer should be wearing cameras and should be held accountable 100% of the time...oh wait I did say that...

I hear Juarez is nice this time of year...no police working out awesome for those guys. Nah I'm from MN actually originally, but I know a helluva lot more guys like Billy Bob and Cooter to not have someone on a police force a call away.

Also there is a misconception. I don't rely on the police for personal or property security, I rely on them for community security. They enforce the laws not protect me or my possessions.
