So the mysterious 3rd ODDE rumor is true. E3 has created one. As much as I respect what could be done with previous NAND/NOR boards I doubt I'd purchase this due to the fact they cannot hire a decent person to translate their guides, take proper photos or provide simplistic yet powerful software.

For their "open-source" claim; I hope that this doesn't allow end-users to compile code that would jeopardize the devices "psn stealth" capabilities and only allows for customizations like external interfaces and such.

Out of all 3 I still think the Cobra sounds the best; will have to wait and see.

The "glitcher" allows you to grab your console bd-rom keys and just like all the other OODE has nothing to do with the system keys so this product, along with the glitchers from 3k3y and Cobra (which all require soldering for slim/sslim models) cannot lead to any type of software hacking. The only remote possible outcome to any of this would be a "custom firmware" for the actual BD-ROM, but Sony can upgrade that anytime they choose. The BD-rom keys cannot be changed. I will say this again, these ODDE and their glitchers cannot lead to rooting the console as it never deals with such things.

They can only hack the BD-ROM drive. Nothing more, nothing less. The keys are read by those "glitching" boards and can only read the BD-ROM keys.

Oh I see. So basically this is E3's answer to the upcoming ODE products.
