Downgrade and installed Rogero 4.30 now black screen
Okay so I got my PS3 CECHL downgraded back to OFW 3.55 and I got Rogero 4.30 installed fine. I was installing Ni No Kuni and while it was doing that I did a bunch of rearranging in my office.
Came back and everything looked peachy. Ended up having to shut everything off and as part of the rearranging. Now that things are put back together I attempted to remove the E3 flasher and put the HD back internal in the case since I didn't think I'd need it. Power on the PS3 and it just sits there with a black screen. No beeps other than the initial one and no video. I've since put the E3 Flaser card back in and reattached the clip. Put the HD back in the external SATA station, but getting the same results still. When I was trying to get this to work the first time last night I had a similar issue, but eventually got the installs to work and it seemed to be working fine. Any ideas? |

Try to enter the recovery mode.
Step 1. Hold the power button until the console turns off Step 2. Hold the power button until you hear two sequential beeps Select : Restore System

No go. I push and hold and it just keeps doing step one.
Hold and it waits 10 seconds or so and shuts off with a single beep. The second time around hold it and same thing instead of the single beep, then two beep. It just waits 10 seconds or so then shuts off with a single beep. Tried it again after complete power down from the line too. It seems like for whatever reason what I'm writing too it just isn't sticking through reboots consistently. So at this point what part of the process do I need to go through again. I think the last time I ended up putting my patched bin back on the microSD and doing a regular restore which brought it back to OFW 3.55 the last time I tried that. It was before I got Rogero 4.30 installed on it. |

Does your controller sync? Do you get HDD activity when you boot?
If the controller won't sync, and you have some HDD activity, it sounds like the gpu. Try and clean all the thermal compound and replace with new. Or you may need to reball the gpu.

SOB...replaced the thermal paste and now my clip isn't reading...:/
This is really pissing me off... I wish there was some way to know if its the clip or if its something else. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* I swear I think my PS3 has tourette's or something. I have to open and close the PS3 13 times before it decides its going work. We had a guy like that in high school, people would bet on the number of time he would open and close his locker. I want to say like 28 was the record or something. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Well looks like that's what it was. Got the clip working again with new paste and everything is running good again. Had to pretty much go through the downgrade process again because it kept asking for 4.20 or something image when booting. So I just patched my original bin and when through the whole downgrade process. Worked so smooth this time around |
