If the hair dryer doesn't work. Since you're tossing those ylod consoles eventually anyway. Take the boards and heat your kitchen over to 275 degrees, Take out a baker pan and roll up tin foil balls and put the board on top of that. Throw it in the oven for like 7 minutes. Replace thermal paste and you should be able to get those to come on for atleast long enough to get the ID off it. If you weren't junking those I would reflow them. Old video card trick I learned back with an 8800GT.

if there was more info from those boards, it would be possible to bypass the power problem.

Honestly I never understood why the teensy has not been appreciated as the others flashers, probably due to the fact that others have the NOR clip, even though many have had problems using them.
Applying the method of Crackmayday with teensy2 + +, you must at some point unplug the power cable of the ps3, this means that the NOR continues to be fed anyway. The teensy not have the convenience of a NOR clip but in its favor it must be said this costs very little For the Crackmyday method are required only 47 welds, some points of teensy should not be welded, using this method I was able to dump NOR on ps3 with YLOD, RLOD and also on briked ps3 , you just have to be careful in making a correct installation but I assure you that it works wonderfully PS: Sorry if I do not speak English well : Redface: Last edited by DebugBrain; 02-01-2013 at 05:56 AM. |

You can find your consoleID from that PS3 NOR/NAND dump, using HxD. I don't remembre the good offset but yea just search for "00000001" :-)

Can't you just feed 3.3v to the NOR VCC pin?
