lol damn straight, i feel like beating the hell outta this ps3, it hasnt even seen hardly any use, it was a refurb from sony after ylod on my other fat, i swear fats have a garantee to fail after a few years, not sure if i told you my situation neither, i was out of warranty so i thought may as well take it apart, big mistake as i emailed sony, then got a call from the manager, i told him the problem didnt tell him i took it apart, and he said even no its out of warranty hell swap it for a slim refurb, as ive had problems on the past, i was shocked as hell, now im not happy because i took the warranty sticker off, i told him it was still on, i tried putting it back on as i took it off carefully but i didnt use a hairdryer and its too obvious cuz you can see the words void.

thoughts? what would you do in my situation now dutch? i have no mulitmeter now so thats out the question, i really need an intact warranty sticker, allthough i hate ps3 slims, whenever i look at one i just think stripped junk, every feature i loved removed. pisses me off, they shouldnt be allowed to do it, and they no longer fix fats even know i told him the console is fine its just the blu ray player, he said they dont fix em any more and only offer slim refurb now

well luckily my cousins, got a fat 40gb, he said i can have his sticker, now i just gotta get it off perfectly, also youd be suprised ive been checking for fats on ebay and theres alot of people on there with the stickers still in tact i emailed about 3 or 4 and only one said the sticker looked like it was removed then put back on, but yeah got lucky with my cousin, thing is i got one shot at getting it off, cant fuk it up, thats like 150 quid riding on getting that sticker off, get a slim refurb, maybe the slim will grow on me, if it had ps2 support i wouldnt mind so much, im not keen on the look of them how about you?

ill buy a second hand fatty and use it occasionly, on ebay they got square trade warranty for second hand ps3, so if you buy a ps3 second hand on ebay you can buy up to 2 years warranty with them and they pay any repair costs, up to how much you pay, wich is pretty cool and makes me feel better about buying a second hand fat from ebay, obviously ill make sure it still has the original warranty sticker still on and get the square trade warranty too, i just love the old fats, just a shame they are so poorly desighned, id go as far as saying they are as bad as 360 rrod

what ps3 you got dutch? fat slim?

yeah its the same with 360, i did the rrod fix though not proper reflow, just the change paste and all that, it let me complete assassins creed 2, then dies, the good thing about that was i was rite into the game and it rrod on me, did that and finished the game at least. i think maybe its just luck how badly it was damaged, maybe if you reflow when its not too bad it lasts longer, did you do like a proper reflow?

well a bit of good news, i got my cousins ps3 used a hair dryer and got the sticker off, you cant see the word voids anywhere on the sticker and if it doesnt say void they cant say ****, i mean if you look relly close you can see little stretch marks, only if you look hard and only on the right side a tiny bit but im pretty confident, my last sticker was screwed cuz i didnt use heat because i never would of thought sony would still exchange without warranty, so wish me luck mate, im hoping to have a nice slim refurb that will probably die as well, he said id get 3 month warranty, ya no cuz sony are really confident there products will work for at least 3 months

gonna miss my black shiny beast though. oh well i can play old ps2 classics on my gaming pc, also the slims are much more reliable arnt they? i hope, i think my ps3 is a lost cause, thing that really pisses me off is it works perfectly, still plays demos, and yet sony still refuse to have a look to see if they can fix it, ffs, it seemed to be getting 12v and 5 volt from the main board at least
