If your ps3 does not power on you've to solder the tristate point to a 3.3V power source

There are many models of ps3 motherboards, you can identify the tristate point of your motherboard by looking here on ps3devwiki: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Hardw...Pinout_Gallery
You can use some scotch tapes to hold a cable on the right position, you can avoid unnecessary solders
Click here to see full text

If you correctly link the tristate to a 3.3V point ps3 won't turn of and you'll be able to flash your dump (you still need a valid dump)

CORRECTION: You Solder TRISTATE point to any Ground Point, not to 3.3V point

I'm verifying my dumps(5 all identical). All verify checks are okay or the same to that posted by bailey except these two.
PS# 3.60 using teensy++ no voltage regulator and wires directly soldered to the board.

Am I OK to proceed with this dump?

It depends on the console. Check PS3devwiki

I'm having difficulty understanding those offset, hexa and byte computations but I will try. Anybody can make it easy for me and I will be grateful

Mine is CECH-20xx (DYN-001)

reading the devwiki validating flash dumps again...

Hi

Can someone please lead me to a Video guide on how to use the progskeet v1.2 on a 60GB PHAT ps3 console. I am struggling to find anything and the guide here isn't really self explanatory for Nand setup.

thanks :-)

first time using progskeet

ps2 slim 4.31 can downgrade to 3.5
board : JSD-001
nor : S29GL128P90TFIR2

progskeet 1.2 flashed with ProgSkeet_12_121018_0031.dat

i have connected all wires , but ps3 will not turn fully on.
it will turn , no hdd leds , no video.

i removed all wires and started new shorter wires and testing

connecting 6 first red dots with power
P2,P5,P6,P8,P9,P10 gnd and v3.3

power on the ps3 its working o.k

after i connecting first batch of wires
P11--->P18
P28--->P32

i get same black screen as all wires was before , and voltage on gnd and v3.3 goes down to 1v only
tried to use external psu with v3.3
but same black screen.

i dont want to keep soldering for nothing , where is my problem ?
wiring tested , no shorts and points are correct.

thanks

YOUR DUMP IS VALID

You can proceed to downgrade your console.

take down that image as "stick tape" is NOT part of my guide.

you SOLDER wires

if the tristate side comes loose then your swipping the board with the gnd and just asking to short everything out

btw its gnd NOT 3.3V

wrong bitstreem get the latest one
test for shorts
then re-attche the progskeet
see if it boots (are you attaching the tristate?)

you can only dump the NOR atm with progskeet 1.2 so dont flash as the ps3 will not boot (the write command doesnt appear to write propperly yet)
