Hello. I'm new and I really want a hacked PS3 and I've done a little research so far and found out that you can only get CFW on 3.55 or lower. My cousin has a PS3 which he never used lol and didn't even go online - it's a 40gb model with 2 usb ports and I checked it had 3.55. He said he'll sell it to me...I'm quite skint.

Is it hard to exploit and play download games?

It is not hard to play "backed up" games, and exploiting on 3.55 only requires installing a 3.55 cfw, which is also easy. If you can get it for cheap, score it. You won't be disappointed. Also, there is MUCH more to an exploited console than playing "backups". Just sayin....

I really want to get it lol but it may not be the best time for me, I got my exams and my parents probably go mad I see some on ebay but not as cheap...do you think if i left it for a few months will it still be more 'rare' to get or do you think by then they would of cracked a new cfw for 4.31 or more updated ones, or is it not possible?

I guess I'll just wait. Downgrades are also possible so there shouldn't really be problem.
