Exclamation E3 Flasher Limited Edition Help

Hey everyone I have an issue with my E3 Flasher. I recently purchased the Limited Edition and I have already done the part of opening up my PS3 and putting my E3 ribbon piece and hard drive in.

I am on the very first part to downgrading my PS3. In most tutorials I see that you must have the Dual Boot or the Regular update.bin file in order to update the E3 Flasher. I purchased an E3 Card Reader but the odd thing is when it is inserted both the Mico SD card Disk Drive shows up as well as the USB to the E3 Card Reader so all I do is put the update.bin in the Disk drive for the Mico SD card. Now the very first part is to put the first 2 tabs/switches down and the rest up. Turn on the Esata Station and Turn the Power on the PS3 on.

When the PS3 starts up the blue lights on the software board is suppost to automatically show, indicating that I have successfully updated the E3 Flasher. But instead of the blue lights showing up. . . nothing shows at all.

I am not sure if I need to do this very first part or not but I would like to go with the tutorial. Of course all I would like to do is downgrade from OFW 4.30 to 3.55 CFW. I have a CECH2001A, 120GB PS3. Now the thing that is different from all the other PS3 tutorials are that my NOR chip on my PS3 is angled differently so I had a harder time getting my E3 ribbon to attatch to the hard drive.

Thanks for listening and it would be great if someone could help me out. I will be posting a video on my youtube page soon and link it here on what the problem is so thanks for listening and I look forward to someone helping out as soon as possible.

if you updated successfully, the update.bin would be deleted automatically from the SD Card. if it is gone, then it is most likely you updated the Flasher.
one more thing, if you want to remove the flasher after the downgrade, you must do the update of 28.10.2011, any update later than that will not support that.

So your saying if my E3 Flasher does not accept the update.bin file then that means that my E3 ribbon is broken?

Nope. E3 flasher doesn't accept the update because is already updated.
Check that clip is well seated if the E3 flex is broken will not dump anything or well seated on the NOR.

Thats strange...I have dual boot set up on my e3 and i have to use the dualboot update bin. But if i want to downgrade or backup my flash, i have to install the multiconsole update.bin prior to being able to do anything. Its not the orig ps3 for the e3. Then when im done, i can reflash the dualboot update.bin to recover the dualbooting aspect...I've never had a problem flashing any update.bin at any time

If my E3 ribbon is all wavy but not fully folded is that ok. On most of the tutorials on how to apply the ribbon it shows that the NOR chip is on an angle made for most of the ps3's but since my NOR chip is angled differently then that means I had to make a little more trouble trying to get it to clip on but everything looks fine and the ribbon is just really wavy looking.

So since I don't have to deal with the update.bin process would I just move right on to the downgrade part?

Make sure to makes all dumps neccesary before downgrading.
Because you will need them a clip bad seated can trow you 50 bad dumps that passed as ok.

Don't USE for GOD'S sake E3 flasher checker tool.
Use flowrebuilder.

Regards.
