Hey guys, so i was updating my older Rogero firmwares forgot which one and as it was installing the update all went fine when it brought me to the update screen after saying its updating the ps3 just turned off with around 2 beeps and the red lights kept blinking. So i turned it off after and turned it back on then after a few times of doing that whenever i start the ps3 up it just goes green light then yellow then to red. Any fix for this?

Was it a PHAT ps3?

Sounds like the traffic light of death (hardware problem, IIRC it need either reflow/reball)

whats a TLOD? i more think its a YLOD (yellow -> red light?)
does your controller sync and do you have power on usb ports?
thats reealllyy bad because you have damaged hardware and perhaps damaged software!
you may need an expensive reball + flasher/unbrick service
but even a flasher cant help you if you dont have a dump

dont give rogero the fault
the cause is a hardware issue

in what step exactly turned the ps3 off? while installation or preparing? if while installation did it turn off betwenn 0 and 35%? (because after 35% the installation is done it just checks the hardware thats why most ps3 are 'skipping' from 35 to 100%)

@FaxiY ummm it does sync and all its just going weird cuz i have left it turned off for a while now it turns back on but its at the system update screen and it just turns off around 30% or so and beeps around twice into red light.

oh sry i thought your ps3 shut off while updating and then has YLOD :D my bad
now i can somehow understand what @DEFAULTDNB means with TLOD

you turn on the PS3 and it directly turns to update screen and not to XMB/recovery?? (like you swapped the HDD)
and you cant abort the update? (try to plug out the stick while preparing)

@FaxiY yes i turn on the ps3 and it goes directly to update screen as well as it went back to that TLOD thing after it shuts off again. And nope i havn't tried swapping out HDD do i just start the ps3 without the HDD? or i have to replace it with another one?

no what i meant with the HDD is when you plug in another HDD its going to the update screen and forces you to install a FW
however

Okay well guys, here's the current problem it can sometime boot up but it will just go to a system update screen with the HDD inside. As its not booting up now with or without the HDD. it just turns green to yellow then flashing red light constantly but when i do turn it on it goes to system update and it goes to around 70% and just turns off with around 3 beeps into red lights blinking constantly.

You have a hardware problem. The update will keep trying to install until it finishes.
But since your PS3 is not staying on for it to finish, it will keep trying.

Get it reballed.
