I did a backup and everything checked out per ultimate fool proof guide. I started the downgrade and got an error. It was bricked so I followed the proceedure to unbrick. worked great. I put my orignal backup on, nothing but black screen. This work on 2 others I downgraded (phats). I have read thread E3 Flasher Downgrade on different PS3 3 times 100%, tried combinations of least 5 different ways (samsumg flash etc) and after the downgrade all I get is a black screen, no drive activity, no USB etc.. Only thing I can think at this point is the backup was not good? If someone wants to be nice enough I can post a link to it. Everything looks and does what it is suposed to on the E3... lights everything. I don't know where or what to do at this point. Oh the FW was 3.72. One last question does it matter if the BR drive is installed. actually tried that both ways too.

send your Dump Here, And read well

1. Don't share your backup file with randoms.

2. After flashing the patched dump in flash fun mode, shut off the PS3, remove E3 flasher and replace hard drive. You can leave the clip attached but securely tape some paper around the end that connects to the E3 Flasher so it does not touch any exposed metal, like on the hard drive or something.

I read that in a thread and tried with no sucess.

Not sure why that would have been the problem because before I started, I had the drive running from the eSATA on the E3 flasher board.

YOUR DUMP IS NOT VALID

Bootloader file shows 152 KB ( Length : 262F0 ) It should be 190 or 189 KB ( Length : 2F170 )

if bootloader_0 is incomplete..that guide wont get u nowhere..only with ros0/1 coreos brick..bootloader is per console and must be complete as we all know..


u could reclip and redump..verify with flowrebuilder and check extracted dump for "complete" bootloader after that..

Well I did as the directions said with sw1 and 3 up all others down. Bootloader is 190k but I'm sure that doesn't mean much. I did the quick compairs to the ultimare fool proof guide and it looks ok but then again the dump I sent you looked ok to the guide. I can't get to the guides that have links in steps 5 and 6 that you sent me ([TUT] How to unbrick w/E3 flasher, without a valid backup bios (dump) ) if this is SOSDD then I guess I'm at the endof the line with a paper weight... correct? can't use a dump from an other CECH-2001a? I'm e-mailing it off now so when you get a chance can you take a quick look.

That is what the guide tells you to do.

You can still get a good dump, after getting a bad one and flashing the bad one. If the clip was not seated properly.

So you reseated the clip and now your dump has bootloader at 190k?

I am not sure what else you are saying. It is all jumbled up with no punctuation.

Something about not being able to get the links, from steps 5 and 6?

It seems ps3devwiki is down, again?

Send me your dump, I will check it and patch it if it is good enough.
