No, and I would genuinely love that. Hopefully N64IOS will address this. Right now though I can use a Wii remote.

can you get tons of free apps from apple?
Yes
you cant even bluetooth a music file with an iPhone
I can
...its a locked down piece of shiny crap...
Mines old and dull, and jailbroken
thats apple...for the Sheeple..
The fruit company phone has lasted me 5 years now, I still think its pretty good.
Android is the way....
Probably, but dont discredit the ability of a jailbroken iPhone
coz we all gonna be robots one day anyway
I cant wait! I want lazers. Lots of lazers.
It takes 5 mins for an app to automatically and silently jailbreak an iPhone and then it can do anything you want.

Every app is free. You can make your own tweaks (FLEX) if you cant find what you need on cydia, you don't need to use the abortion of an app that is iTunes (I admit iTunes used to be the biggest pet hate I had on having an IOS device, but you dont need it at all anymore )

My point is, it may not do it out of the box, but within 5-10 mins you can do 99% of that.

Android is very compelling to me, and I will definitely investigate getting an android device next before auto jumping to another iProduct.

Anyone have any recommendations on which android is the best spec-wise?

@advocatusdiaboli if you dont want VIP, dont set it up...

@DEFAULTDNB ; When I refered to the iPhone I meant that when u get it out the box.Your average user wont go and JB the phone..thats an aftermarket thing.Straight out the box android is tops.
Look at an Xperia Pro(mk16i) for value for your buck.It still has a qwerty slide out keyboard(I personally hate typing on a touch screen).

But,back to the iPhone and the Jailbreaking of it.
Could you assist me if I PM you later, because a friend of mine has an iPhone, but its locked on a US mobile carrier(think verizon) and now she cant use it here(South Africa). I want to see if I can get it to work on one of our service providers.

I would really appreciate the help

I think everyone's point is, that Android can do all those things without jailbreaking, you don't have to wait on someone jailbreaking the device for you.

As soon as your first boot an Android device after you have bought it, you can do a whole host of things that an iPhone cannot do and will not do until it has been jailbroken.

My advice to you, is if you have been with iPhone a long time, don't buy an Android phone, you wont like it and hate your decision. if you want Android, buy a cheap tablet, for watching TV or whatever on the toilet.

Personally, i dislike Apple and their products, there are two Android phones and four Android Tablets in my house and one of those Touch iPod things.

My next tablet will be a full Windows 8 device.

True, I forget how most people dont JB for some reason.

I'm a tinkerer. I cant have a device and not f*ck about with it from day one.

I will definitely consider an android device next though.

You add email addresses to it to make it work, if you dont want it to do anything, edit>move it to the bottom and forget about it
