I have read thread E3 Flasher Downgrade on different PS3 3 times 100%, tried combinations of least 5 different ways (samsumg flash etc) and after the downgrade all I get is a black screen, no drive activity, no USB etc.. Only thing I can think at this point is the backup was not good? If someone wants to be nice enough I can post a link to it. Everything looks and does what it is suposed to on the E3... lights everything. I don't know where or what to do at this point. Oh the FW was 3.72. One last question does it matter if the BR drive is installed. actually tried that both ways too.
once you followed my guide then after verifying the dump yourself it tells you to
1. check with the wiki verify page (did you do this?)
2. send your dump to the e-mail in the dump check thread.(did you do this?)

these are stated to prevent bad dumps
ie you over look something in the guide then you should spot it when following the wiki.
you still miss something
a second set of eyes will find it in the dump check thread.

so if you have followed the steps then you will have a good (passed) dump from the dump check thread.
do you still have it?

i will be so glad when the auto dump check tools come out.
the dump can then be tested against all of them.
no more bricks due to ppl skipping / missing steps.

You can still get a good dump, after getting a bad one and flashing the bad one. If the clip was not seated properly.

u could reclip and redump..verify with flowrebuilder and check extracted dump for "complete" bootloader after that..
I am sorry I was not clear and did not reply to you post with a copy:

I did as you instructed, I reclip and tried to get a second dump after the brick with s1 and s3 up all others down.

The booloader was 190k. I am not sure if that is good or not.

I tried to bring up the wiki that was in your your post but it was not coming up. I kept getting an error. I chacked the dump against the instructions in the ultimate fool proof guide. The values looked excatly like the values they listed.

I submitted that dump for a look by you guys.

when reading the topic, MJ999 told u the bootloader_0 was incomplete:

Code:
Bootloader file shows 152 KB ( Length : 262F0 ) It should be 190 or 189 KB ( Length : 2F170 )
if bootloader = 190 kb it seems correctly dumped now
to verify use the windows calculator and do "2F170 hex to dec" rightclick-properties on the "bootloader_o" and verify its size in bytes to make sure..

if ur "coreos" on the flash is corrupt somehow(and redumping with good clip conn keeps having incomplete ros0/1), then u can use that guide to patch ur original dump with patched coreos to fix > like downgrade

good luck

LOL. No, I wasn't trying to act like I found it out. I was just saying that the guide will help.

It looks like it did help (wait for validation of the dump), if bootloader is now 190k.

The reason I made the guide was to help noobs, that did exactly what the OP did.

If you make a bad dump because the clip was not on good, you can fix it with that guide. It is not just for corrupt coreos. As long as the clip was not seated properly, then the bad dump flashed, it should work.
So saying that it would not help is not accurate.

Plus by pointing them to that guide, you don't have to explain every step. It is written out for you.

Even if it doesn't work, those are the steps they must try to fix it.
