Not even close, Microsoft does not ban your account just your xbox. Sony pretty much rapes you, no way to access your bought content and everything linked to that account.

they can even brick your console if they want to!
they can track your IP send your data to 3rd persons etc

I get that, it's their right and their rules. It's just their way on handling things is a bit unorthodox, from dealing with their constant excuses of why they keep removing features, to making it as ugly as possible all the way to suing Geohot. They wonder why they're financially in the red zone? Their decision making this gen has been atrocious and it's lead them where they are now.

They still have great exclusives and some of the best first party studios, but they always seem to struggle.
