Exclamation Bricked Ps3 Slim 160gb (failed flash)-Help appreciated
Hi Guys I recently attempted to downgrade a ps3 slim 160gb, however upon flashing the nor the console seems to be bricked. Is it possible to recover this console or should I just cut my losses ?. I have the flash log and it looks like the console only flashed the good part of the nor backup.

Currently the console turns off after 3 seconds.

Your dump is valid right? As long as it is this is a non issue and simply requires reseating the E3 clip or better yet, soldering for a perfect connection.

If you did not verify your dump, do not make any attempt to write to the PS3's NOR. Get a backup dump in it's current state.

Im not 100% certain that my dump is valid, It seems that the bootldr/trvk may have an issue. Although this part of the dump was not flashed back to the console.

As @redtree told you,
your Dump has to be verified first, send it to the Dump Thread to be verified by trusted members.
and then you have to make sure the Clip is seated properly. by flashing a dump and packing it up again and compare the two dumps again (if the Clip is seated good they should Match)

but do not try to flash any thing yet, first Verify the Dump

OK,
Just send the Dump and hope it is good,
mean while backup your dump and compare it to the one you flashed it last, and see if they match or not

The problem is now that the console wont boot (3sec) so I Cant read/write to the nor.

solder the tristate point to ground, and the ps3 will stay on.

Thanks for your help guys, just ordered some solder now. Looks like my dump is valid still waiting for 100%, just that when I patched it for 3.55 something got corrupted. Hope that this console will be up and running soon

Just make sure you do not use more than 30 Wat Solder iron.

the First step is to make sure the clip is seated correctly.

flash your original Dump (after get verified) then pack it up again and compare the two dumps and see if they match.

You will flash the original Dump in Fun Flash since your PS3 turns off (100000)
