Hi all, sorry to bump this thread.

I have a console that i was downgrading and it was flashing 10001111 so i took it open and put the clip down with some coins.

Same error again 10001111.

Turned off ps3 and now all i get is on - green for 2-3 seconds then 3 beeps with a flashing red light.

I have used the guide for nor tristate and soldered to e3 and still get the same error.

I have replace thermal paste and tried different power supplies.

What on earth is still causing this issue??

I have a valid dump so its no issues but just cant get it to power up.

I notice it has metal prongs that need to touch the board - could this be an issue if one of them has moved slightly?? not that i can see it has but its the only thing i can think of thats causing the issue??

Thanks, David

Check the motherboard for any shorts, solder splashes..

It started doing this before I had to solder the wire which makes me think its something completely different!

Ill take a pic when I can after work.

EDIT:
Console come back on with a new solder today - but i believe its a bad dump!
No luck for this bad boy
