That's the sensible thing to do imo, I mean if the shop could offer say a 6 month no quibble warranty and you trust them, then it might be worth considering - any less and well it's quite a risk and you could end up seriously out of pocket Even with a 6 month iron clad guarantee which I can't anywhere offering, I'd still get a slim myself, and yes never seem to hear of slims overheating.

I would go for a reball because the chance that you overheat twice are low if you change the thermal paste INSIDE GPU/CPU and ON CPU/GPU Plus, Fat looks much better to my eyes But you know, if it cost 120$, if he fails as long as he doesn't charge you lol you can still sell it for pièces and get the Slim instead but it's not really true, Slim doesn't overheat that less then a Fat

@baargle Yeah just got myself a slim for $120 downgraded and all seems to be working fine i guess ill just give up on phats. Or just use my 60gb phat for online play.
