Things aren't just better because they cost more. A bus costs more than a car, but how is a bus better than a car?

PC is better because it has more to offer.

Just wonder what people think on the latest rumours that " the next Xbox will indeed require an constant Internet connection. It will also inhibit the function of used games, support Blu-Ray-based physical media, and ship with new versions of Xbox Live and Kinect". The games will be locked to the console therefore no second hand market. The new Xbox will basically block second hand games.

sony have patented the anti-preowned technology to block used games by locking the disc to the console.
i havent heard of ms doing the same but i doubt they are as silly as sony to actually do it

If the rumors are correct then it is going to happen. They are trying to stop the sale of second hand discs from which the publishers get no financial benefit. Also they are hoping an end to piracy.

Shame.

If you are going to compare upcoming CONSOLE specs to something...then compare them to current CONSOLES

Compare PS3 to PS4

Not PS Orbis to your latest PC rig.

Since the days of NES it hasnt worked like that and all you are really doing is kicking whatever credibility you had in the face because anyone who has been around that long knows this

I bet if the PS4 was well equipped with a GTX 680 equivalent, you'd come running back here telling me how much it rivals my PC, but because the specs are going to suck in these next-gen systems, all of a sudden specs don't matter and you can't compare them to the PC.

sony have patented the technology to tag a disc (locking it to the console)
this requires a console capable of doing this. the ps3 has no ability to do this

here is the patent

Fgs can't we end this PC Spec **** already?

What's the point? I never really cared.

Always was a console gamer and always will be.

Why do PC gamers feel the need to **** on console gamers? Superiority? What is it?

I'm telling you I couldn't give a flying duck what your PC spec is. I already know what consoles are about and they've given me what I want. If I wanted a PC to play games I wouldn't be on here.

So please give it a rest already.

Why not have a dedicated thread for console vs PC for those who are into that? And leave us poor consolers all alone.
