hi all and thanks in advance for any help. problem is

bought a 60gb fat ps3 (been repaired for ylod) on fw 3.41 tried to update to 3.55OFW and it failed at 63-64% and is now stuck in the update loop so whenever i turn it off and back on it just tries to update and fails at the same point

Does it give you a black screen saying it needs to update to a fw of 3.xx(Etc.)?

And when you place update in flash drive does it work or recognize it?

no black screen when it fails it gives error 8002F1F9 , yes it did recognise the fw

Bad wifi Bluetooth board.

Check the connections to it. If they are good, replace it.

Or use mfw builder to remove the bt firmware install and checks.

Looks like either the BR drive or wireless card. (MIGHT be the USB).

I'd format the USB to fat32(a complete format not a quicky) and make sure it, and the controller, are plugged in. If that doesn't work it may be your BR drive isn't connected right

I spoke to him on another site, he hasn't added an important bit of info that he can only get a controller to work when connected with a USB cable

I knew it. I am right.
