Pretty simple to use if you take it slow.

It's advised to have a flasher and all that rubbish if you're going to use it, but in all honesty, you only paid what £40 for the PS3 so it's hardly viable to bother with precautions like that, although just make sure you do whatever you need to do CORRECTLY, and don't rush it as this CAN mess up or write off your £40 PS3.

If you want to get out of the loop, and don't care about losing all your stuff, do this:

Connect the hdd to your pc.
Right click computer and left click on manage.
Left click on disk management.
A box will appear saying the drive is missing mbr boot or something. Can't remember exactly.
Say yes or OK.
Put the hdd back into the PS3.
You will get a screen saying the drive needs to be formatted and needs to install 3.41 or later.
Put Rogero 4.30 v2.05 on a fat32 formatted usb. Named correctly and in the correct file path. PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP.
Follow the on screen instructions to press START and SELECT.
It will then say to format the drive hold START and SELECT for at least 5 seconds. Do that.
It will then format and install Rogero 4.30 v2.05.

You can also do that with Rogero 3.55 v3.7 CFW.

Since all the checks are removed from those firmwares, it will finish installing and you will be out of the loop.

^ think he's got a fatty though? Will it ask to re-install firmware if he formats the drive on a fat ps3 as firmware isn't stored on it?

I think it still will, because the hdd is married to the console still.

replaced wi-fi board and all working great , updated and now on 3.55kmeaw.

BUT copied my mw3 to internal hdd and can't get it to work i just keep getting error 80010017 - any ideas ???

that's an EASY fix. LOL I just got through fixing that through mine. You have to have a patch for 3.55. this bypasses the need for an update.

and I would update to a higher cfw. I updated mine after playerkp420 downgraded mine. don't get me wrong kmeaw AWSOME but I like my rogero LOL
