My ps3 bricked after a dex to cex conversion, so i bought a ps3break.

i load up the firmware onto it, plug it into the 4th usb near the bluray, flip the power on, press power and then eject immediately. the green light turns on, the console beeps 5 times (as it does when its normally turned on), and then turns off. no factory mode or anything. after this step i tried putting a usb with 3.55 firmware and lv2diag in the root and powering on, but it doesn't do anything different.

what am i doing wrong here? i've followed over 5 different tutorials and its all pretty much the same exact thing

Pretty sure your problem is that the ps3break is not programmed correctly.

Search for psgrade hex.

thats what i've been using to program it. i've tried the downgrade one, 1.7.1 and 1.4, none do anything different.

Sorry, I have never used psbreak. But it has to be the problem.

I have fixed many bricks like you have, with PS3Jig on my PSP 1000. Or with an e3 card reader.

i already have it and tried most of them

heres a good tutorial that seems to cover everything, but it just does not boot. what am i doing wrong?

Dumb question, but is there LEDs on the dongle you're using? Do they light up at all?
Try using it in leftmost port (furthest from the blue ray).

yeah, it flutters on and off for a second after a few seconds of the ps3 being on. thats it, though. changing the port to the left most port didn't change anything

Now that ps3devwiki is back up. Try and use this guide to program your dongle.

edit: oh google says its cause of the country i live in, lol, usa
anyways, how do i connect my ps3break to this eclipse program?
