Hello everyone for those of you who have already downgraded your PS3 and are online then I was wondering if you could help me out. I recently downgraded my PS3 using the E3 flasher from OFW 4.30 to Rogero CFW 3.70. I have been looking a little bit and it says I need to downgrade to 3.55 OFW in order for me to put REBUG firmware on my PS3. If someone could link me to a tutorial on how to downgrade a 3.70 Rogero PS3 or send me some files that I need that would be great. For those that helped me in my last post about the E3 Flasher I thank you so much.
I look forward to hearing from those that can assist me. Thanks. |

Rogero 3.70 IS 3.55 based, its just a spoof.
So you ARE on 3.55 CFW. Just QAflag then reinstall 3.55 OFW from recovery, and install REBUG from there, OR QA flag then install REBUG 4.30.1/4.21.2 via XMB from where you are and bingo you are updated to 4.30 CFW.

Dehash if you haven't already, otherwise your next thread will be about unbricking your PS3
![]() As for online and CFW, that probably isn't the best idea judging from the popularity of the ps3unban threads and posts about console ID numbers from shady individuals. |

![]() Thanks for clarifying that Rogero is accually 3.55 so I look forward to hearing from you again. Oh and one last thing is it ok to turn on my Internet features even though my PSN account cant be accessed just yet. Will I be banned even though I am not on PSN just yet. I was wondering about getting my blackbox to work so i could put some modded files on my games. |

I was on Rogero 3.70 CFW then I tried to install from recovery menu a 3.55 OFW that I downloaded. It went all the way to 100% and then I heard a beep when it finished.
When it goes off the power button red light will flash constantly. I press it once and it will stop flashing. Next I try to turn on the power and it turns green but only lasts for about 5 seconds then I see a yellow light flashing then it turns off and goes back to a flashing red light. Can someone please help me out cause this definately sucks. |

Did you verify the 3.55 OFW you downloaded? Did you check its MD5 to make sure it wasnt corrupt or possibly a different FW?
The QA flag info is here: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/QA_Flagging should have installed the toggle, set it to on and confirmed it was with the code. Your PS3 was downgraded and then rogero 3.70 put on it? sounds like your PS3 is in hash panic because the QA flag wasnt active. Can you get into recovery mode? If so try install Rogero 3.70 again and go from there if you can. If not you should just use your E3 flasher to restore your backup flash, and get your PS3 to a workable state and go from there. @baileyscream will know a lot better than me, so if you cant get into recovery, wait for someone else to interject.

Trying to do Recovery Menu does not work. Even when I take out Hard Drive from Esata Station and turn on PS3. The Green light will stay on for the longest time and never hit a YLOD. But if I attempt to do the recovery menu process it will show up a yellow light and turn my PS3 off on me. I can only resort to the E3 Flasher and hopefully Bailey can guide me on this. |

@RoboGamer1
@baileyscream
I'm sure can definitely help, he has dealt with this many times before.
Do you have a good verified dump of your NOR from your E3 from before the downgrade?

the E3 guide your just following the "just downgrade with E3" tab / part then "Setting Up The E3 Flasher" tab then "Soldering the E3 Flasher" tab look in the "soldering E3" section find your motherboard (eg DYN-001) and find the sbe point on the motherboard. solder that point to sbe on the side/ halfway point of the flex ribon cable of the clip. put the first switch (flash fun) up and dont move that switch again untill i tell you. now when you boot the ps3 it wont boot propperly but also it wont shut down to blinking red lights either (this is halting the ps3) now do the downgrade steps from the start. do all the switches as stated in the guide EXCEPT THE FIRST SWITCH. LEAVE THAT UP now when you get to the "Finishing the down grade in service mode" tab put that first switch (flash fun) down (with the ps3 turned off) read the guide. then read it again. then follow the guide DO NOT MISS ANY STEPS btw what you have is called a "De-hash Fail" |
