Thanks To All That Helped
I finally unbricked my CECHE PS3 that I bricked going from DEX to CEX. While this wasn't a pleasant experience, I did learn a lot about NAND PS3's and their dumps. I don't know what I would have done without the help of baileyscream, underwurlde, Sarah1331, MJ999, 3absiso, and several others. This really is a great community where help can always be found. Once again thanks guys!!!
One odd thing after dumping and patching I did not have to do the downgrade procedure. After desoldering the Progskeet 1.2 it booted right up, whereas with it still connected I still got the green -> yellow -> red flashing cycle. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Now I just need to figure out how to get to the latest Rogero firmware. I have run the QA Toggle pkg but it just kicks me back to the XMB. What is the recommended method for me update? Last edited by 4DoorITR; 02-09-2013 at 12:19 AM. |

stop right there you have patched it for downgrading the syscon may still have DEX hashes in it do the QA flag de-hash you may not need to but at this stage i think it would be better safe than sorry to do it. then your free to change firmwares |

Yeah sorry about all those messages. You guys were super patient with me!
Bailey I tried the QA Toggle pkg last night but it just kicks me back to the XMB. Multiman also says incompatiable firmware. The last thing I tried flashing before the brick was Kmeaw 3.55. I don't know what firmware is on it but it is definitely spoofed. So how do I QA flag since the pkg fails? |

I think QA toggle only works with a married BlueRay? Are you sure it's married up OK?
This drove me nuts trying to figure out. Believe me, everything that I did, every damn step had problems, problems, problems. Andy |

OK. I could not run QA due to non-married BlueRay, hence I just upgraded to Rogero anyway, remarried and then ran QA. Not rehashing before installing Rogero for me was OK.
Andy PS, at the end of the day you still have the ORIGINAL dumps from your NANDs, so what could POSSIBLY go wrong? (he says, LOL). |
