@haz367 Thanks for the tip. So my only solutions right now is to buy a new flex cable for the PCB and hope to god it fixes the issue. I opened the ps3 competely and everythings where it should be and nothing looks changed so I doubt any fuse is fried. The PS3 doesn't show any activity when the power plug is connected correct? Besides the PCB? The PSU was NEVER opened and the Cables are in their proper place and inside the power socket(*Power Plug/2 Metalic Wires on the MB that connects to the PSU*). I never re-applied thermal paste under the Fan still isn't an issue correct? Last edited by quilapayun; 02-09-2013 at 12:16 PM. |

The flat ribbon cable for the power/eject board is probably backwards.
If it is, you won't get a red standby light or power on. Try flipping over the cable on the motherboard for the power/eject board. |

It doesn't look too bad. If u have a multi-meter, u could check it for continuity.
My guess is that it was backward on one side, or both. U can look at each connector, and the pins will be only on one side. The ribbon has the pins exposed on only one side too. That way u can make sure it's plugged in right. |

Also by backwards what do you mean? The blue tips? Last edited by quilapayun; 02-09-2013 at 12:39 PM. |

It works now!! I didn't connect the flex cable to the PCB properly it was going over the plug then inside it. So that's why it was so loose. Well thanks guys now I just gotta follow a good downgrade tut.
