hi guys,
just installed 4.31 CFW,which i made by following this *some kind of* tutorial(so this's not 4.30 with spoof)
Everything works well, i can even dual boot OFW/CFW by switching HDDs w/o flasher(actually i have E3 Flasher installed on my ps3,but without dual boot feature)
So,the question(*noob* question mb) is...Is there a chance,that $ony can determine, if I use OFW with CFW "NOR", and ban my PSN and console?

What do you mean you can dual boot OFW/CFW by switching HDDs?
I don't think you are dual booting.

I think where CFW is involved, there is always a chance of ban.

you need to install something on your cfw to demonstrate that you can run custom code...i doubt you can install anything

my guess is because the firmware are essentially the same, your able to load files from the cfw drive that give the appearance of cfw. But because the flash on the ps3 contain ofw, you do not have any of the cfw patches installed therefore you will not be able to run custom code or install anything....

installation and custom code execution are working (e.g. multiman) i can upload the video,if u don't believe me

try loading multiman to your cfw.....ohhh you cant....hmmmm

if it turns out you have cfw on your flash when you use your ofw drive....like greg said, you risk getting banned

Very interesting. So you do not have fast dual boot set up? I assume no, since I could see the switches on your e3.

I think the PS3 will boot with the OFW 4.31 hdd, because the CFW is 4.31.

But your flash is CFW. Not sure what Sony actually looks for to ban. But if they can see the CFW on your flash, then you definitely risk a ban.

I think it may be less of a risk though, if playing from the OFW hdd. As long as you don't have any cracked PSN games, cracked DLC, cheat mods, or homebrew apps, etc.. on the OFW hdd.

I might play around with this later.
