PS3 5 double beep brick

I am working on a PS3 that on turning on beeps 5 double beeps then shutdown
(it's owner was trying to convert from CEX to DEX or DEX to CEX)
I read about the problem and found that I should use a hardware flasher

I connected the E3 Linker and want to start dumping and so, but the problem is that the console shuts down after around 20 sec.

How can I keep it from turning off?

on most models you can solder the tristate point to ground, it will keep the ps3 in a sort of coma.

so, what is your model number...

Do what @Mr.Dutch told you,
Solder the TRISTATE point on your Mobo to the SBE point on the E3 Clip ribbon and put the flasher in Fun Flash (100000) all switches down except the first up, this will halt your PS3

SBE was already soldered to Tristate before I turn on the console I set up flashfun (100000) and it halted the PS3 and then I switched to the dump config and successfully dumped.

I used BwE NOR checker and everything passed except i got error on:
Content "lv2Ckernel.self" might be malformed

Is this normal for this console because it's bricked somehow?!

That siren brick can be fixed with just a FSM dongle/jig. And install Rogero 3.55 v3.7.

I have done many.

this validator must not check for cfw files? lv2Ckernel.self, never seen it but like rebug 4.21.2 it incl cex and dex lv2_kernel.self => ( lv2Dkernel.self) dont know anything else, this just popped out the lv2C must be a cex one or some...

I don't know. I have fixed 5 or 6. Mostly with PS3Jig on my PSP. And one with my e3 card reader.
Cut power from switch or pull the plug.
Insert dongle in the right most port.
Put switch back on or plug back in.
Press power then eject. The PS3 will communicate with the dongle/jig, then shut off by itself. And not make the siren beeps.
Replace dongle with fat32 formatted usb drive with Lv2diag.self and Rogero v3.7.
etc......

It has worked everytime.

Anyway, now you have the flasher connected, you can fix it that way.

Just dump, validate, patch, and flash back.

Good luck.
