[tutorial] How to remap bad blocks in NAND

As you all know I think I know how to remap bad blocks in NAND but find it hard to explane so here is my guide

(Mod don't delete I'll be updating bit by bit over next few hours)

Step 1 know in your heart you have a 100% valid dump of your NAND
It may not verify to other guides because of the bad blocks but if you know it's a good dump you will be fine this guide will only work if you have 100% good connection to your NAND reader

Step 2 please save a copy of these dumps safe and use a copy for the rest of this guide always have your originals never use these use a copy

Step 3 find the bad block

A bad block data will be full of 0000000 and look like this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360402286.302991.jpg and will go on for 20FFF in length this is 1 block

So if you open a dump and search for 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

You will find a lump of 00 now make sure the 00's go on for 21000 this is your bad block

You can verify this by changing a part ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360402914.380215.jpg
Now if you flash this you should get verification errorImageUploadedByTapatalk1360402986.989341.jpg

Whala your first bad block

Repeat this search and write down all your bad block locations

Move all the data below this bad block up as to fill these locations start with the top one first and do this for all the blocks that are bad

Now you shouldn't get any errors in florebuilder

If you replace the tsop you can flash this image you made and all should be ok

If you get a verify error it's due to the new tsop having bad block you need to move all the data back down from said block and leave it empty

If you haven't replaced tsop you need to reverse all the blocks you moved up back to there orig locations and make the blocks with the 000000000 be where they first were
Eg

Block. Data
0. 0
1 1
2 2
3 badblock
4 3
5 4
6 badblock
7 5
8 6
9 7
a 8
b 9
c badblock
d a
e b
f c

I'd try but am only good with batch script

We need a app that will search for 0000 21000 in length as this is a bad block

Then it could report the block you could try erase the block get a verification error and you know it's a bad block

does this also work for nor chips? i think about those annoying rsods on those samsung nor chips. in lv0 it is stated with a string that this fatal_error2 is because of corrupted nor. would be nice if this can also be applied to these as i once had such a ps3 which now is unluckily dead.
