long since i was here now :P

But to the problem. bought a 120gb slim that was stuck in fw update loop.
got the error 8002f1f0 Broken BT/wifi :S
Managed to install my e3-flasher and downgrade to 3.55 rogero.
BUT, when i tried to install rogero 4.30 cfw i got the loop again !!! WTF
Read in another thread that it skips all checks but NO.. same **** again.(didnt think twice on that one)
Took my hdd and formatted it on my ps3, now i got the red light crap.

question is: how can i get it to work again and get pass the fw update loop ?
Soldered sbe-tristate and all that. Have done this several times before so im not a complete noob ^^

Edit: Tried to reflash my org bios dump but still got the red light and then shut down.
flashed a dump from my slim 320gb and now it stays on but i dont get a picture :P

did u try the rebuild file system ? system might be courrpt or u could try a whole new hard drive but it sounds like something inside has been broken on the main board

I have the exact same problem on one of mine.

I got to Rogero 4.30 v2.05, which has the checks removed. You must have used an older version.

Cant rebuild filesystem since it doesnt boot... must be a bad dump or something cuz i cant even get to that menu. when i hold domn the power button it starts and shuts of again efter 15-20 sec.

must have. got any ideas ? was on 3.55 when it still started and now im trying to flash my org bios dump back. think its 4.21 but not sure.

Just format the HDD with your pc again. Put it back in the PS3, and install the pup I linked in my last post.

Edit-I just reread your other post. It says it has rlod now?. Solder the wire to keep it on and follow chapter 2, method 2 in the guide below.

tnx but managed to fix it by flashing the patched bkkps3.bin with flash fun.
strange that my org bios didnt work :/ Soldered the sbe-tristate earlier just in case. and i installed latest rogero...(2.05) i think, and it worked. sux to play without BT i must say.... does someone know how to check the BT-software ?

So you did Chapter 2, Method 2 of my guide and it worked?

You can try use the options in the recovery menu. Restore PS3 or rebuild data base, etc.. But most likely the bt module is bad and needs to be replaced.
Which sucks on that model, because it is soldered to the motherboard.

hehe no i didnt read your guide. sorry :P but ive done this so many times i know most of the steps by memory just tried to reflash the patched dump and it worked :P talking to ppl in another thread and they say the bt board usually dont brake. it has to be something else. like bad fw(what i think) or maby a micro-fuse ? i dunno....... found something that looks like an error and posted it in the other thread
