yeah it's a strange symptom it works on others but on the 3k it fails
mechanism should be fine to then don't you think?

just a quick thought all flat-cables are ok?
probably already tried but just asking

I assume the ribbon cables are all okay as it worked perfect when fitted in the CECH-2503.

New info. I pushed the laser on it's track while toggling the disk loading sensor. It started to shake (like it was angry lol) then it reset itself and the loading motor started. I put the top plastic mechanism cover on and inserted a disk, which it took.

It did not spin the disk, though I heard a click sound.

The eject button did not respond so I held it down to force eject and the disk then ejected.

But...... now it acts the same again and will not take the disk when trying to insert it.

Pushing the laser while toggling the sensor will repeat this faulty loop.


Regarding the controller, do you mean the CXD5132R-1 chip on the mainboard? I don't have the skills to remove this and solder the legs of a replacement.

no, this one, i marked the 2 fuses also.

I have same problem with my cech 2504A, fuses are ok.
