Yeah but couldn't you just edit out those strings all together so it doesn't look for them to begin with?

BTW, I hope you guys realize that most newer games are going to start doing this. I'm sure Treyarch won't be the only ones.

so we lose online play, big whoop. Has everyone forgot that we as a community went nearly a year and half without PSN access? nobody was whinning during that time ( well not nearly as many as now ) we were all happy that we could play any PS3 game backup and all our homoebrew. Why now is everyone whinning about not having PSN access?

Im sure eventually someone will find a way to bypass these checks but until then, Just enjoy the fact you can still play all your homebrew and any PS3 game on the market. cause there was also a time we couldnt play the newer games.

Be happy with what you have, unless you can fix the problem yourself I say.

Yeah, but I'll always remember Treyarch as the ones who initiated it.

I am happy with what I have. It's called a gaming PC and a Wii U...well, among a dozen other consoles. Like I said I haven't touched my PS3 in a couple months and don't intend to any time soon. It's the principle behind all of it. Everybody else can be content with being treated like crap for doing nothing wrong but I'm not going to continue to support them for it.

@BobbyBangin

I dont support what there doing, thats why im not spending another dime on PSN. After 2 account bans and console ban for just synching trophies and buying stuff from there network. Im far from supporting them anymore, Im mearly saying that why are people complaining about not having PSN access. The scene has been threw the no PSN access before. We over came that and we will over come this too, given time. I was also saying to just enjoy what your CFW has to offer now, minus the PSN temptation.

So what we need is a sort of proxy or firewall so we can just block them searching that info while not blocking the rest or a program on the network that sends fake data to them initially.

Swyped on my SGS3

that would be the idea. But there always ways to get around them. And even then they would be able to find out if we had a firewall on the ps3.

Also I don't really like playing on PSN anyways. I mean it's all the time full of them little punks who don't know how to play. And when they loose they start sounding like little pigs getting shot lol(If you ever hear that it's VERY annoying)

I agree with @Adamsville 's statement. They have no right. I paid for my PS3, BO2, and my internet service. Nothing was 'stolen' or 'pirated'. I feel like I did nothing wrong except be a victim of circumstance.
Not true iirc... Yes you paid for a "piece of hardware", but Sony is still the owner and can do whatever they like to their machine, you just rented a Certificate... you're not the owner. It's been a long time I've read the Sony T.o.S. tho, so don't pin me down on it, but I thought this was the case.

Well...I'd like to see $ony come and try to take it from me. Possession is 9/10 of the law.

When you buy one, TOS owns you.
If people will read TOS carefully nobody will buy PS3.
(Other companies have the same).

So they can do any **** they want with your data, technically speaking you purchased some nice rootkit with eyecandy for your tv.

The same goes with anything that needs in some imperative way = Internet.

Fake your data and your done, don't connect your PS3 if you have facebook or another social platforms and you are done.

Nothing new, always happened and with next-gen will be 10 times worst.
Privacy?!? Come on!! *Big brother*

I remember when I first updated to 4.30 CFW. There was a very brief message that said something about collecting data. Then there was a download bar that zipped by extremely fast. That was proceeded by a message saying thank you for cooperation. The whole process seemed like it only took a split second. I barely read the message. I remember trying to figure out if it asked me to okay that first because I usually get that "you're ps3 did not shut off properly message" and I generally rapid click right through it. I can't be sure though. Anyways, about two days later I was banned. Anybody else have that happen?

Oh and on a side note, $ony, Treyarch, and any other Nazi corporation can take their ****ty TOS's and shove them up their ass...
