My PS3 is being jailbroken as we speak, and upgraded with both Rogero CFW 4.30 v2.05 and the lastest Retroarch, presumably this version - for Retroarch, retrogaming and future backups of my beloved but not-getting-any-yonger retro consoles and cartridges are indeed the primary reason why I'm jailbreaking in the first place. Seeing as I've outsourced the whole process, I've neither PS3 nor readme file at hand, so can you please bear with me and some total noob questions?

1. I've been reading about this beaut of an app, but I haven't been able to find in any online description thus far exactly where on the HDD one saves the various roms? Does it all go under the GAMES folder so each chore selects the roms it is compatible with from there, or is there a separate folder somewhere for each individual Chore?

2. For future update purposes, does Rogero CFW 4.30 v2.05 mandate CEX or DEX?

Apologise in advance if the noobness of my queries make your eyes roll...

If you converted your PS3 to DEX then.. DEX, if not its CEX.

Usenet just has (what it seems) a full romset posted in the last 7 days.
If you know how to use NZB stuff look for "FBA Next 360 (+PS3) 029728 romset"

Sorry about that, I meant of course "Core".
Usage of CEX stored for future reference.

Then I assume the "SNEE*fivedigits*" refer to the folder location of each core, and consequently where the roms for said core go?

I still haven't installed retro arch yet

I would presume you can specify the rom directory? (make your own roms folder on root of hdd)

If not I would put then inside those folders, or in sub "roms" folders of those respective folders.

@Darth_Xenu http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=47136

some emulators use /hdd0/ROMS/ as default rom folder

Some emulators search for roms at /hdd0/roms/systemname (ie hdd0/roms/fba , hdd0/roms/snes), but most emulators allows you to browse to the roms folder.

Im down with flu and a broken finger...I need to take some time to update retroarch and the cores on the emulator thead

@DEFAULTDNB

That is incorrect. Those paths you posted are the location of my standalones i created. (repacked)

Roms can be placed anywhere. There is a built in file browser in RetroArch where you can find your roms anywhere. The best place would to be make a ROMS folder on root of a HDD either Internal or External. then they can even be sub folder from there for each system or emulator core.

Edit:
@LoboGuara
had you on the right track didn't read rest of the thread until after i posted.
