Hello guys,

I got a question, someone tried to unbrick a console and after flashing the backup back into the console the console booted with this same screen:

How do you get out of that in fw 4.31 ?

AFAIK It is impossible to get out of FSM on OFW 4.31.

Depends on the PS3 minverchk.

If the PS3 can go down to <= 3.55 then yes you could downgrade to 3.55.


If the PS3 can go to 3.56 and has metldr 1 (not 2) you could patch 3 musketeers and instal CFW 4.30 directly.. I am NOT 100% that this would work as I think 4.30 is the max allowed to patch 3 musketeers patch CFW NOT 4.31, have to double check that...

I dunno im gona tell him to do whatever he needs so he gets his console up and running again.

3M patch can also be used on 4.31 if the CFW bases are 4.31. you cant only go from 4.31 to 4.30. But since there is one cfw base 4.31 its now possible
