no luck yet. it says rogeros 355 is damaged and i cant install it :/ not in fsm or xmb. going to try rebugs downgrader as i got the same error (8002f169)
with rebug 3.55 rex.

EDIT: no luck. it just says there is some damaged data 8002f169 :/ should i try reflashing instead ?

EDIT 2: reflashed and now checked the update log you get when installing 355 rogero when downgrading and got this :/

I have the same problem with the same model.

I think the bt/wifi module needs to be changed. But like I said in another thread, the module is soldered to the motherboard. Tough fix. I don't think you are going to fix it with software. It is a hardware problem.

And BT firmware is different than BD firmware. I think that fix in multiman is for blu ray, not blue tooth.

i know bt is different to bd but if his bd has a problem that is preventing a normal update from installing then he can only use the no bt no bd firmware ie rogero
if he can do the re-marry steps and the mm fix then try the normal pup to de-hash then it might work

if it works then not only will bd fiirmware be installed but the bt will be also

like i said i have this on my sons slim ps3 and my only way around it is to temp swap bdvd boards and do the mm fix then it updates fine (no loop)
when i put his board back in it still works just fine (plays games and bdvd films

dont have any problem with the bluray at all.. works fine and allways has... and i cant find a good link for the remarry files for 3.55 anywhere. they have all been removed :/

and it says in the install log from fsm that the blue tooth firmware installs fine.

its strange cus it installs the bt fw update but not the wifi fw.. it says nothing about wifi in the log :/ and when i try to scan for wifi i get a connection error.
but when i scan for bt it just keeps on scanning....... and nothing happens when i turn on/off the wifi in debug settings either. but does anyone know if im gonna brick if i use the get in to fsm files and replace the 3.55 with ofw instead ? im on rogero 3.55 again and qa-flagged the ps3 earlier. still flagged after 2 reflashing and 2 cfw installs :P exelent :P

let me know if it works. cuz atm im gonna check my mobo if there are any micro-fuses next to the bt/wifi module and if they are broken.

i just think there linked somehow in the software.
i think by swapping the bd board in my sons it made the update skip that step and then go on with the bt update.

if i left the board disconnected or not fix mine (installed on his) in mm it would loop with the bd error code

with the drive working fine i have allways suspected a bad bt or wifi but never been able to comfirm it.

if there was a mfw with just bd removed and another with just bt removed i could narrow it down.

you need a blue ray film for it to work with just a blue ray game disk

PHAT ps3's will lose blueray film playback.
