I dont get why pirates/hackers fight amongst one another. O.o im so confused, In the end, are we all not playing backups/pirating? weather or not we bought a DRM reDRM or softmodded with open source stuff.

You all are being quit obtuse arguing over these products. Sure I dont support reDRM products at all, but I do support anyone who wants THERE console jailbroken. In the end isnt that what we all want? a opened console free to do what we want with it, while enjoying the games and products that come from sony and other companies.

If you are referring to the open source libraries and compiler functions then obviously that is a different story entirely. Without those every dev would be writing in machine code. They are made by people who want it to be free so that it will help programmers. That is completely different to people literally copying, pasting and adding a very small tweak here and there for it to work with their hardware device they intend to sell.

They "mess" with the DRM code as you say (I assume you mean the FW on a ps3) and they give it for free. If they were like Cobra, they would mess with it and make a dongle for you to buy. That is what we are trying to get into your head. They are cracking someone elses DRM, then adding there own DRM (reDRM) and selling it. If you cant see how that is different, then I cant help you.

that's totally understandable thats a nice way of putting it, everyone is different in there own way, and there's ways you express your input, or what ever tickles your fancy. if ppl intend to keyboard bash and laugh at someone choice in product, then they just wasting time, not only for the people who read this topic and intend to buy it, but also the person who type rubbish on here.

Mine should be here tomorrow! I am excited. I don't care about homebrew brew or custom firmware any more. I got the 3k3y so I could do two things.

1 back up my games so kids don't break them.
2 play said games online.

I have a softmod xbox that plays all the emulators I need. And a pc that plays all hd content I could ever want.
