jesus christ, deank did nothing but change a OPEN SOURCE code into a closed source and called it his work. He stole everything that was in MM from Open source stuff. Then on top of it, he went to cobra to suck on those teets cause you MM drones were not donating enough too him.

I applaud the man for bringing MM back to Source code, he has earned a lil more respect back from me for that. Serisouly though why attack a person for there opinion just cause it dont match with yours? last time I checked the internet was a free speech area, unless your violating the terms of a websites rules. Excellent news. The morons stuck on 3.55 fixing and patching everything when there is a perfect CFW 4.30 out need to get a clue.

The release scene (esp PSN) is all messed up because devs feel the need to pander to the lazy basterds that can't spend 20 mins updating their firmware. Time is wasted that could be put to much better use. A unified scene is a strong scene.

DeanK is awesome. I already liked the guy but this big **** YOU to the 3.55 idiots makes him the best PS3 dev ever.

Why such the complaining realy he made a good app and he will do as he wants but who to say that he won't drop the 3.55 cfw files along with the new ones so we can compile it ourselves. He made his own choices for his own reasons n I think people are just mad cuz of him selling himself to cobra. Most on here complained for a new cfw and now you got it n it seems like its still not enough

And my point was "many people are just lazy" and why put them in more difficult position to install a flasher just to update to 4.31 CFW (which we know isn't easy for noobs and they are the majority of ps3 scene ) , when "the noob" could just stay on 3.55 CFW and enjoy the same features or he could decide to update from 3.55 to 4.31 or downgrade (only using software way).

To be honest I just said "F*CK IT" and decided to go back to CEX, I did do some reading, and did get a soft-brick but got the ps3 back up fine. After the crap sony has pulled I can't help but hate the ps3 a bit, so I thought to myself if it did brick it wouldn't really be that bad, if it didn't that would be ok too. Funny is the fact that I lost the backup I made for my NAND when I converted from CEX to DEX, and still decided to go ahead with the conversion back. Now a few days ago I was moving files from a 2TB drive I had and lo and behold my NAND backup was in a folder called WiiBackup with some Wii backup files.

Wait a sec... I hate sony with every fiber of my being because they tried to tell me what I could and couldn't do with my console, now what makes you think I would consider it any less despicable for a homebrew dev to do it? Don't get me wrong, I don't plan to flame Dean for this; if he doesn't have enough time, then that's that... I don't expect the guy to drop his personal life to code Multiman; though maybe he should consider hastening his plans to open the source this way he would have help from others in the community.

I'm sure that there are devs out there who would help out if the code was open, because as many bad things as the ps3 has one thing I admire about it is how most of it's true devs are such big advocates of "openness".

Anywho, as I said I won't be demanding what he does with his time, but to support and suggest that this is the way things should be is selfish and narrow minded. If there are members of the community who want to remain on 3.55 we shouldn't just say "forget them and let's move on", but hey... this is pretty pointless anyways. Thanks to Iris Manager in reality this is a non-issue, in fact this might be the best thing to happen for some people still on 3.55. For multiman on the other hand, the only thin this will do is lower it's user base, because if somebody likes 3.55 enough to still be on it, I doubt they will update to keep multiman before trying Iris.

In closing, good luck to Dean, hope he open sources MM sooner rather than later, so he can enjoy more free time; and to the 3.55 guys just use Iris.
