Getting this error with multiman which seems to be common.

Yes, I'm a total n00b to this and the site. Sorry if this thread should go elsewhere.

Running Kmeaw 3.55, and multiman 4.18.00 CEX.

I'm trying to play RyuGaGotoku 5, but everytime I boot it I get a 80010017 error.

What does this mean?

EAUTHFAIL 0x80010017 Failure in authorizing SELF. Program authentication fail (Error starting BluRay game)

means you dont have the 3.55 fix for the game installed. Your getting that error cause the eboot requires a higher FW then what you have installed. Might I suggest just updating to either Rebug 4.21 REX , 4.30 Rebug or rogero 4.30 v2.05 as no new games need eboot fixes anymore with the Higher CFW.

Download this 3.41/3.55 fix:

Replace the files in the game folder with the ones in the download and should work fine.

Alternatively you could update to a 4.30/4.31 CFW as snkysnake02 has stated.

Updated to Rogero 4.30 v. 2.05 and error is gone. Thanks again.

Of course now I'm on to the next problem... PS3 Support and Tutorials > PS3 | Help > Anyone get RyuGaGotoku 5 working?
