Oh, I see - I actually thought MultiMan was open source. That's a bit ****ty of him. I do feel for him on the "backward compatibility" front a little though. I'm a web developer and understand that supporting everything from many, many years back is a difficult challenge and I recently stopped supporting IE 6 out of frustration for hacks that hold back modern technologies. But then I guess Kmeaw etc. aren't really old enough to be compared to IE6.. that's actually probably quite insulting haha.

I didn't know the whole story about this guy anyway so, opinion duly changed.

multiMAN was open source, but he closed it back up again when he was creating multiMAN for Cobra.

I fully understand deank not wanting or having the time to support ALL firmwares, to do so is quite time consuming, but there are a lot of people still using Kmeaw 3.55 MFW and who have no plans or do not need to update to 4.3x MFW, they are being neglected.

That's why im saying that what deank is doing, is not much different than what Sony did.

No, he used thousands of hours of OTHER developers software to make multiMAN what it is, multiMAN would be just another run of the mill Backup manager if it wasn't for OTHER developers.

Basically all he did with multiMAN was create a Lego base and slotted the OTHER developers Lego onto it.
