Not totally true, there is Sony SDK Code which is forbidden to use, and there are payloads that were put together by skilled Dev's (So no official Sony SDK code and thus "legal" to use)

The code Greg is talking about is OpenSourced non-Sony SDK code made by skilled PS3 Dev's and is "stolen" and made ClosedSourced by this so called devs... got it now ?

I see where this is going, and yes you're right about getting to know how the system works by studying the official SDK / reverse engineering it... but you are missing the point.

just saying, but this reverse engineering is not that easy and not made for everyone. i really want to learn it, but i am totally lost with disassemblers and to some kind lazy i admit. if i see these ppc instructions, my head begins to spinning
