It may be patchable. The scene can be very negative so I want to stay positive about this.

If otherOs can be brought back to the ps3, and to ps3's that were never intended to have otherOs, I hope this check can be patched out of the firmware.

its not lv0 keys, it been confirmed thats they are bootldr keys, which are not Updateable or Revokable ,

as for hardware revision they have done that , its the 3000 and 4000 models

and they can be found nxt to ur btldr (keys?) in the dump.bin..but then..now what

let's hope they can fix another dex ita or something

As for when will Sony stop with the PS3 updates? I say not for a very long time. Sony would still need to support the blu-ray on the PS3. Once the PS4 comes out, there will be a price drop and many will swarm the ps3 with it's extensive and unique library and the blu-ray player.

As long as blu-ray movies keep getting released, there will be firmware updates.

Just going to say...this isn't the latest. I can say from my own personal experience and my actual TEST unit...there is a 4.31 DEX...but congrats on getting this finally...lol
