Oh just one other thing, is pressing left on d-pad/left analogue + R1 and L2 meant to reset game? Its not a new problem because I remember I did this last week too. I cant remember if it was on retroarch or FBA launcher 1.0.... Just jogged my memory now when I did it playing game.

Will check it out , I think that is RetroArch issue, but I'll see if I can do something about it.

SeeYa!

Oh dont worry I found my problem I had empty button assignments(L1, L3, R3 and X). I just assigned these as buttons retroarch doesnt use eg retropad L3 and retropad R3.

FINALLY AN EMULATOR WITH GOOD GRAPHIC USER INTERFACE FO PS3!!! Nota that bunch of crap we see in the others, wich looks like a damn widows comand prompt!! Why do we have expectacular graphic interface in Wii emulators and non on PS3?? I hope the others devs improve their works like this one. Maybe for ones this a minor thing, but i think a good dev/programer must lok forward to presentation too.. Imagine if it would'nt be incredible if we could navigate our roms in a great interface, searching trough the games screenshots or even better: the covers or posters of the games!!

:-(((( its a no go for me, i am on REBUG 4.30.1 and all is wel, i can open the FBA-RL, scan and rescan rom from my 1TB USB HDD, but when i try to load it goes to the PS3 XMB!!!!
is it compatible with rebug 4.30.1??? what am i doing wrong? Restart does not work. :-((((((
a little help please :-) nice work though.

Update: i managed it to work, i had to put the auto ratio display off. i would be nice to have more display and filter options for all games.

NICE WORK AGAIN

Question:
Where can i remap my buttons???

Well Squarepusher focus with RetroArch is not the GUI, its all about improving the emulation of each core/adding new cores That is always the first focus as you spend 90% of the time playing the game in the emulator itself.

That's what makes open source projects so great because other developers like in this case CaptainCPS-X who has deep roots in the official FB alpha project can take the work sqaurepusher has done on the ps3 and add his own vision to it with all the wonderful changes he has made. While squarepusher can focus on the coding of the emulation it self. There aren't very many people at all coding emulators on the PS3 anymore. So one man cant code the emulation bring new emus and make a fancy GUI. Thats why sqaurepusher made RetroArch compatible with multiMAN so that multiMAN can be used as a front-end for game covers or any art for that matter

Keep in mind this wouldn't of been possible (or done as fast) without the contributions from Squarepusher . I can tell you that CaptainCPS-X is doing an amazing job with RetroArch Mods on FBalpha.

The emulation scene is really heating up and alot of this is due to RetroArch progression/development. As well with the great contributions from developers like CaptainCPS-X and others who have some exciting projects to be released in the future as well

Full v1.01a Source Code and documentation (README.md) is available at GitHub now!

https://github.com/CaptainCPS/FBAlphaRL

Btw, I want to clarify, FB Alpha RL is a separate and completely different application than RetroArch, so this means that my EBOOT.BIN / RELOAD.SELF is a completely independent application with all code written from scratch by me.

Now, fb_alpha.SELF is the RetroArch (FB Alpha) core, with simple modifications to receive commands sent via arguments from my application.

I wanted to clarify this so people understand that my work on this application is not a modified RetroArch but a separate frontend, that is why is called a "Loader".

Even when FB Alpha RL is a separate application, I have to thank Squarepusher and company for making constant improvements on the RetroArch core, and for making it open source.

Thanks , glad it worked!, button mapping is not yet implemented in FB Alpha RL, but I am currently planning to do something about it in the future.

SeeYa!
